SAN ANTONIO- The UTSA Alumni Association and San Antonio Zoo are partnering up to offer a “Wild Deal” during the tailgate for UTSA’s game against UTEP this Saturday, Nov. 26.

Attendees will get to meet special animal guests, while also having the opportunity to purchase a “two-for-one” dual membership to the Alumni Association and San Antonio Zoo.

The joint membership packages that will be offered during the tailgate include an annual membership to both organizations for $120 (valued at $164), and a joint Alumni Lifetime membership for $1000.

“What a wonderful example of the old phrase ‘when worlds collide!’ After five years, and multiple different animals featured on our Conserveza beer cans, we now have a can featuring the roadrunner, the mascot of my very own beloved university, UTSA,” said San Antonio Zoo CEO and UTSA alum Tim Morrow. “Now beer drinkers, tailgaters, or just those who want to collect the can are able to enjoy Conserveza by Freetail Brewing and drink a beer to save a species. Be sure to stop by the UTSA Alumni Association Tailgate to get your beer can and help support the Alumni Association, San Antonio Zoo and our favorite local brewer. Cheers and Birds Up!”

The tailgate event is open to the public from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Hoefgen Parking Lot, just outside of the Alamodome.
