CBP Officers seize over $2.3 million worth of meth at Texas-Mexico border

HIDALGO, Texas - U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers intercepted $2,384,668 million in alleged methamphetamine on Friday.
“Our CBP officers relied on their experience and all available tools and resources to thwart this smuggling attempt,” said Port Director Carlos Rodriguez,
On Sept. 9, CBP officers assigned to the Pharr International Bridge cargo facility came across a commercial tractor trailer, arriving from Mexico.
After searching the trailer, officers extracted 266.75 pounds of alleged methamphetamine which was concealed within the trailer.
CBP officers seized the narcotics and tractor trailer.
The case remains under investigation.
